1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using DivorceMe ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

2. Not a Law Firm

DivorceMe is a document preparation service, not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or counsel. We do not review your situation for legal sufficiency, recommend legal strategies, or represent you in court proceedings.

The information provided on our website and through our services is for general informational purposes only and should not be construed as legal advice. If you need legal advice, please consult a licensed attorney in your state.

3. Services Provided

DivorceMe provides:

• Preparation of state-specific divorce documents based on information you provide
• Filing instructions and guides
• E-signature facilitation for both parties
• Customer support via email

The accuracy and completeness of your documents depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide.

4. Eligibility

Our service is designed for uncontested divorces where both parties agree on all major terms. You must be at least 18 years old and legally married to use our service. You are responsible for determining whether your divorce is uncontested.

5. Pricing & Payment

Fees are disclosed before purchase and charged as a one-time payment. Court filing fees are separate and paid directly to your court. Prices may change without notice, but changes will not affect orders already placed.

6. Refund Policy

• Before document delivery: Full refund available at any time.
• Court rejection guarantee: If documents are rejected by the court due to our error, we will correct them or issue a full refund within 60 days of delivery.
• After document delivery: Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We do not offer refunds simply because you changed your mind about divorcing.
• Processing time: Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days.

7. Revisions

We offer free revisions for 30 days after document delivery. Revisions cover corrections to information provided, not changes in circumstances (e.g., newly contested terms, additional children, changed property arrangements).

8. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Review all documents before signing and filing
• File documents with the appropriate court in a timely manner
• Comply with all applicable laws and court requirements
• Not use the Service for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose

9. Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DivorceMe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangibles, resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Errors or omissions in documents resulting from incorrect information you provided
• Delays in court processing
• Changes in state laws after document preparation
• Your reliance on any information provided through the Service

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on DivorceMe, including text, design, logos, and software, is owned by DivorceMe and protected by copyright and trademark laws. Documents prepared for you are yours to use for their intended purpose.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a manner that could harm us or other users.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
